coca-cola: fifa fan locker lounge

this is what happens when two legendary names team up in the name of soccer — or rather, fútbol, to be more precise. on october 14, 2025, Coca-Cola and FIFA joined forces to launch the Fan Locker Lounge in Guadalajara, Mexico in honor of the Mexico vs. Ecuador International Friendly Match. as fans pulled up to Estadio Akron for the ultitmate pre-FIFA World Cup 2026 showdown, they were greeted with our iconic red oasis.

sure, our Fan Locker Lounge was naturally designed to refresh folks with Coca-Cola products, but we didn’t stop there. beyond the sips, we wanted to the space to celebrate the contagious passion and spirited energy of the fútbol fandom, gearing fans with everything they need to uplift their game.

after all, we know that fan work is thirsty work.

the locker room

normally, the locker room is a sacred haven made for the players — an otherwordly place where legends and rookies alike can huddle, prep, and pre-game out of sight. but since Coca-Cola is for the people, we instead wanted to create a locker room zone designed just for the fans.

inside our locker room zone, guests got the unique opportunity to pose with official Mexico team jerseys, flex their match day drip with glowing LED mirrors, and score themed face paint styles from our on-site artists.

the photo ops

a photo op at a brand activation in the 21st century isn’t exactly groundbreaking, but what about not one, not two, but three distinct photo backdrops? we know that our fans are serious about capturing the magic as they are about the match day action, so our goal was to provide a variety of snapshot opportunities to commemorate the Mexico vs. Ecuador game in style.

our photo ops drew inspiration from both team Mexico’s striking Aztec patterns and the grand Estadio Akron stadium. and thanks to Coca-Cola’s FIFA partnership, we were even able to secure the actual match ball from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 for a truly historic photo moment. bonus: fans were also able to win this memento by entering our on-site sweepstakes. you shoot, you score!

the swag

we, of course, wanted to give back to the fans in the most fútbol-chic way possible: supporter capes. each cape featured a custom pattern rooted in the Mexico national team’s Aztec heritage, alongside a pop of Coca-Cola red.
